We believe absolutely in the freedom and privacy of each Dolphin3D user, as well as that of other customers of FutureThought Technologies. FutureThought Technologies does not knowingly record or maintain any data of a personal nature through use of the features of Dolphin3D's software interface without the express knowledge of the user, such as when a user intentionally elects to include their real name, email address, or other personal information in a feedback or bug report form or when a user submits customer information while making a purchase from a Dolphin3D-related website - in which case the user or customer data is saved only for internal use by Dolphin3D's owner, FutureThought Technologies. Any data gathered in such a manner will be kept private and confidential to the best of FutureThought Technologies' ability and will neither be sold nor given to any 3rd party (including any government agency) without the express foreknowledge or explicit authorization of the user or customer - unless required to do so to comply with the laws of the United States or other valid legal jurisdiction within the United States, such as the state where FutureThought does business. For the purpose of keeping a user's software up-to-date the Dolphin3D web browser is set by default to do a simple, anonymous check of our servers periodically for the sole purpose of informing the user of any available browser software updates (although this feature can be easily disabled by a user via their Dolphin3D User Preferences). FutureThought Technologies will inform its users of any change to this policy that it may effect in the future and allow its users to explicitly choose to "opt in" or "opt out" of any new feature or practice that is not compliant with this policy. Caveats: The aforementioned policy does not apply to the subject of normal web browsing cookies (or cookie-like data authorized by user-selectable security or user-installable 3rd party browser plug-in settings) from companies or organizations whose pages or content Dolphin3D users might view or authorize during their web browsing activities (as would normally be expected if a user were to browse the web using any of the other well-known web browsers). Storage of such common "anonymous" cookies in the user's browser cache may also at times be triggered by commissionable vendor-specific affiliate codes for authorized vendors associated with Dolphin3D and its owners. Such affiliate codes may be submitted alongside the user's submission of built-in or inline web searches within the Dolphin3D interface, via links on web pages hosted on Dolphin3D-related websites, or on cached local web page documents in Dolphin3D (such as the cached about:clicks page). However, these and all other cookies and cookie-like data may be readily and quickly removed from the user's browser cache by the user through the use of Dolphin3D's Privacy Cleanup and Cookie Manager features. |
